Has Chris Eubank Jr. Had Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?

Chris Eubank Jr SMP hair loss

What hair loss treatment(s) does Chris Eubank Jr use?

British boxer, Chris Eubank Jr, looks to be following in his father's footsteps, and we're not only talking about the boxing. We're also talking about the state of his hair.

Eubank Jr's hairline looked to be receding during his late twenties, but now, well into his thirties, he appears to be sporting a suspiciously perfect hairline.

This triggered rumours that Chris Eubank Jr had undergone some sort of treatment for his hair loss, but he himself has not come out and admitted to having anything done.

Despite his denials, it is absolutely clear to see that Chris Jr has indeed had some sort of restoration work done on his hairline. The first guess would be that he underwent a hair transplantation procedure, but then upon further inspection, this doesn't seem to be the case.

It is more likely that Chris Eubank Jr has had a scalp micropigmentation procedure (SMP) done, which isn't actually surgical, but instead, it's more like a tattoo that is drawn onto the scalp in order to cover thinning areas, and in Chris Jr's case, his hairline.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a procedure that is used to create the illusion of shaved hair, stubble, or greater density in hair-bearing areas that have lost hair or require augmentation.

Men with hair loss usually turn to SMP because it is non-surgical, safe, and convenient. There is also no need to take medication or harmful treatments.

Every case is different, but generally a hair tattoo will begin to fade more significantly between 4-6 years after the initial treatment has been completed. This is only natural, as you see with a regular tattoo. SMP patients can simply go back for top-up and refill treatment.

SMP doesn't grow hair or change your natural hair growth. It's not a hair loss treatment. It also won't cause hair loss or damage your existing hair follicles. Scalp micropigmentation is a way to make it look like you have fuller, thicker hair.
