Is Brad Pitt Going Bald?

is Brad Pitt going bald

Hair loss affects most of us, and high profile celebs are no exception. Even the seemingly perfect superstars like movie heartthrob, Brad Pitt, are not immune to the devastating effects of hair loss.

There have been some recent rumours that Brad is beginning to lose his hair, but as the actor approaches 60, regardless of whether he's losing his hair or not, he still has a hairline that most guys half his age could only dream of.

But, for the sake of this article, let's take a look at Brad's hairline and try to determine if there is any truth to the rumours.

Is Brad Pitt losing his hair?

Brad Pitt has always had a low hairline, which in most cases, would suggest that he wouldn't ever likely have any hair loss issues, certainly not at the front of the hairline.

Pitt has also always had a thick density of hair. His brother, Doug, does have slight recession at the front of his hairline, but only at Norwood Hamilton 2-3, at most. There doesn't appear to be a history of hair loss cases within the Pitt gene pool.

Although most men tend to experience hair loss in their 30s and 40s, there are still plenty of guys who suffer from hair loss at a later stage in life. Some guys begin to lose their hair in their 50s, or even as late as their 60s.

Once hair loss strikes, no matter what age you are, it can be a fast process, which is a major reason why it can be such a scary and devastating experience to go through.

If we compare Brad Pitt's hair now to how it was when he was younger, this will give us a clearer idea of his situation, and it will tell us if he could indeed be starting to lose his hair.

If we take the two images above to use as a comparison reference, then straight away you'll see that the only glaring difference between the photos is that Brad's face has aged somewhat, which of course is expect, considering that the photos were taken around 25 years apart.

With regards to his hair, there does not appear to be much change, if truth be told. The hairline is pretty much at the same position now as it was when he was in his 30s and 40s. If we're really nit-picking then it could argued that Brad's hairline is slightly higher, with ever so slight thinning, but it would still be difficult mark it as anything more than early Norwood 2.

The overall density of Brad's hair doesn't appear to be quite as thick and full as it was in his younger years, but again, for a man who is approaching 60, there are very little signs of hair loss.

Does Brad Pitt use hair loss treatments?

It would be perfectly reasonable to assume that Brad Pitt is blessed with great genes, and therefore great hair. However, being an A list celebrity, with so much of his image based on his good likes (and great hair), it wouldn't be a surprise if he has been using hair loss treatments.

There is no known cure for hair loss, but there are some treatments that can help reduce and even stop hair loss, which is what so many celebs (male and female) do to combat thinning hair.

What hair loss treatments does Brad Pitt use?

If Brad has gone down this route, then what treatments could he likely be using? Here, we look at some of the more realistic treatments that Brad could be using, IF he's actually losing his hair.

There are a select few medical and non-medical hair loss prevention treatments that are available for men (and women) who are experiencing early stages of hair loss. If Brad started noticing hair loss then he'd have likely started using the medical treatment pill, finasteride (or Dutasteride).

This FDA approved treatment can treat hair loss in men who are suffering from early stages of male pattern baldness. This medication can be effective, however, it can also give negative side-effects, some of which can be severe.

Due to the development and effectiveness in recent years of non-medical multivitamin extract supplements, like HR23+® and PharmPro40, for example, it is likely that Brad has used these types of treatments to help stump his hair loss.

As money isn't an issue for the likes of Brad Pitt, if he was starting to lose his hair then a hair transplant would have been an easy option to take. However, upon studying his hairline, there does not appear to have been any surgical work done. We would confidently rule this out.

Again, by looking Brad Pitt's hair over the years, there doesn't appear to be any clear signs of male pattern baldness. Brad's frontal hairline has matured ever so slightly over the decades, which is absolutely normal, and it could be said that the overall density of his hair is slightly thinner, but again, this is very normal, and something that commonly occurs in middle aged men.
