Prince Harry's Hair Loss: Through The Years of Harry's Hair

Prince Harry hair loss

Why has Prince Harry lost his hair so quickly?

Since marrying Meghan Markle, Prince Harry seems to be in the limelight more than ever before, and one thing that often gets looked at, and asked about, is the progressive thinning of his hair.

Many people, particularly men, seem intent on wanting to know why the 38-year-old royal is losing his hair so quickly - especially as he had such thick locks in his earlier years.

Here, we go through the years of Harry's hair, and establish what exactly has caused his hair to thin so quickly...

In Harry's early years, as a fresh faced 18 year old, there were no signs of any hair thinning, or recession at the hairline. It seemed that Harry may not follow in the footsteps of his brother, William, who began losing his hair at a young age.

As Harry went into his twenties, the fuller faced prince still looked to have a good head of hair, with little evidence of any thinning. The hairline looked to have matured, as is the case with most men at this age, but it still looked like Harry would be holding onto his locks.

The first signs of hair loss were evident as Harry approached his thirties.  The recession at his hairline became more aggressive, and the overall texture of his hair looked much thinner. It was clear that Harry was indeed experiencing initial stages of androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness).

By his mid thirties, Harry's hair was looking much thinner - so much so that you could start to see his scalp. As with many men in their thirties, Harry was experiencing aggressive male pattern baldness, and the rate of hair fall was rapidly increasing.

At the age of 38, Harry's hair loss is even more evident. You can see that his hair has thinned so much that his scalp is visible. Harry didn't start balding as early as William did, but his hair loss has been just as quick in recent years. Since Harry hit 30, he's experienced aggressive male pattern baldness, to the point whereby he will not likely have any hair left by the time he reaches his forties.
