Did UFC star Conor McGregor have surgery on his thinning hair?
Back in 2015-2016, during the peak years of his performances in the UFC, McGregor's hair appeared to be thinning, with slight recession at the hairline. Fast forward to 2023, and McGregor's hairline looks to have been restored, being brought forward, about an inch down his forehead.
This would suggest that McGregor has indeed undergone hair surgery.
2015
As you can see from the image above, taken in 2015, Conor was beginning to experience recession at the front of his hairline, at around Norwood Hamilton 2. This is still very early stages of male pattern baldness, but even so, the evidence is there, which confirms that he was beginning to lose some hair.
2019
Fast forward to 2019 (see image above), and you can see some progressive recession at the front of Conor's hairline. A "widow's peak" is starting to form, with the hairline cutting in deeper into his scalp. This is a clear sign of male pattern baldness.
2023
If you look at Conor's hair in 2023 (see image above), then it's evident that he has had some type of hair restoration treatment. His hairline is lower down his scalp, and he no longer seems to have the receding hairline. You can also see the "pluggy" effect at the very front of his hairline, which shows that some hair transplantation work has definitely been performed.
With some men, identifying if they've had a transplant can be quite difficult, but from looking at Conor's hair now, and looking at it pre-2021, it is very clear that he has had some work done on his hair. In my opinion, I would say he has definitely had a hair transplant.
