May Hair Loss Picks

Hair Loss Products for May / Spring Season

Each month we aim to bring you our top hair loss products and treatment recommendations. This month, we look at some treatments that are ideal to take during the mid to late part of spring season. Many hair loss sufferers underestimate the importance of taking extra care of their hair during spring. So, we've come up with a good list of hair products that can benefit your locks as the climate continues to get warmer.

In no particular order, here are the eight recommendations for the month of May...

1. Grape Seed Supplement.
Grape seed extract is a very potent supplement that acts as an antiallergenic, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant. Like Pygeum Africanum and Saw Palmetto, Grape Seed extract has also been found to inhibit DHT production, and thus prevent hair follicle damage.

2. Priorin.
If you're suffering from thinning hair, then you should definitely consider hair supplements like Priorin. This potent yet safe formula contains a key blend of ingredients that can prevent the pattern of hair fall in men and women. This is a great product to use in conjunction with some of the other suggestions on this list.

3. Ginkgo Biloba Liquid.
Ginkgo biloba has been found to increase circulation and help with hair growth. It does this by increasing blood flow to the peripheral parts of the body, and micro-capillaries. By improving circulation to these capillaries, the body is able to more-effectively deliver oxygen and nutrients to the scalp, thus promoting hair growth.

4. PABA Supplement.
Para-Aminobenzoic Acid (PABA) has been called the anti-gray hair vitamin and is considered one of the lesser known members of the vitamin B complex family (despite the fact that it’s not really a vitamin at all). PABA can aid the strength of hair growth in men and women. Most people prefer to tale PABA in a multi-vitamin hair supplement.

5. iRestore Serum.
Hair strengthening serums are great to use during spring season. We tend to shed more in spring, therefore topical solutions like iRestore Serum can benefit the scalp immensely

6. Alpecin Double Effect Shampoo.
Caffeine has been known to help energise weak hair follicles, therefore if you saw good results from Alpecin C1 Shampoo, then you should seriously consider the more potent, Double Effect version. This type of shampoo is ideal for spring, when we tend to shed more than any other time of the year.

7. Silica Supplement.
Silica (Silicon Dioxide) is a mineral that helps strengthen your blood vessels and improve circulation, which can stimulate the blood flow to your scalp and encourage health, stronger hair growth.

8. Omega 3 Fish Oils.
Nutritional and dietary factors, including the omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil, can influence your overall health and the health of your skin, scalp and follicles, which can, in turn, improve the health of your hair. You might not totally prevent hair loss, but you can make the hair you have healthier.
