Vitabiotics Hairfollic Hair Supplement Review: Does it Work?

How effective is Hairfollic for treating hair loss?

Statistics show that more than half of us will suffer from some form of hair loss by the age of 40.  Hair loss is an everyday part of life, and this is why the hair treatment sector is estimated to be worth  over £2 billion.

Looking to grab a slice of the lucrative cake is The Hairfollic Supplement range by Vitabiotics - relatively new to the market. Here, we look into these products, and try to establish how effective they really are for combating baldness in men women.

What is Hairfollic Supplement?

Hairfollic is a range of four supplements (two for men and two for women), designed and formulated for hair health.   Each supplement contains a carefully balanced combination of vitamins, minerals and bio-active nutrients. Each tablet provides micronutrients including biotin, selenium and zinc which contribute to the maintenance of normal hair.

Each of the four Hairfollic supplements have been formulated on the basis of the latest 'scientific research' (whatever that means), and claim to increase the overall functioning of hair strands.
The Hairfollic range is not FDA approved as a treatment for baldness - therefore without being medically approved, these products should be regarded as a cosmetic, not a treatment. The Hairfollic range is too new to have a valid customer satisfaction rating, so it is unclear as to where it sits on the market.

The Hairfollic range consists of a supplement for men, an advanced supplement for men, a supplement for women, and an advanced supplement for women.

What are the ingredients in Hairfollic?

The Hairfollic supplements contain a key blend of active ingredients which include Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Biotin, L-Cysteine, Folic Acid, and Iron . The full list of ingredients can be seen on the label below.

This supplement is not revolutionary, but it does contain a host a well-established hair beneficiary ingredients that can help reduce hair shedding and promote healthy hair growth. However, it lacks many potent ingredients that some of its higher end competitors have, so, from an additive point of view, we'd put this range in the middle category of hair supplements.

How does the Hairfollic formula treat baldness?

Just like any other multi-vitamin hair supplement on the market, the ingredients in this supplement are designed to help the maintenance of the cells for hair follicles. They were specifically designed to help improve the blood flow to the scalp, in order to stimulate hair growth.  However, there is no scientific evidence to suggest either of the four Hairfollic supplements can regrow hair.

Upon inspection, Hairfollic is a basic supplement for hair health, and much like its main competitors, HR23+ and Viviscal, it only uses ingredients that have in some way or another been associated with hair health. However, the Hairfollic range does appear to be a much weaker version of its high-end competitors, and its price further suggests that.

Hairfollic side-effects?

There have been no reported major negative side-effects from users of these supplements, and it is very unlikely for a user to experience any sort of negative side-effects. The formula is only made from safe and natural ingredients, therefore it is unlikely it would cause any complications to your health.

However, it is always advised to speak to your doctor before taking supplements that you are unfamiliar with.

Hairfollic User Reviews

As mentioned, it is too early to get a clear idea of how well this range is reviewed. Like with many of its competitors, this supplement has a fairly mixed response on various hair loss forums and communities, but it doesn't have much exposure across the hair loss communities.

The Hairfollic range is marketed strongly across Google Ads, but it hasn't generated much interest or conversation in the major hair loss communities.

Hairfollic price and where to buy

The standard price for a bottle of Hairfollic Supplement for men is £20.00 (23 Euro, or $25.00). The standard price for a bottle of Hairfollic Supplement for women is £20.00 (23 Euro, or $25.00). The standard price for a bottle of Hairfollic Supplement for men Advance Formula is around £30.00 (34 Euro, or $38.00). The standard price for a bottle of Hairfollic Supplement for women Advance Formula is around £30.00 (34 Euro, or $38.00).

This may come across as an affordable line of supplements, but one box will only last two weeks, so you're looking at a monthly cost of £40 for the standard supplements, and £60 for the advanced supplements, which is actually at the top end of the price range for this type of product.

Hairfollic Review: The Verdict

Hairfollic is not a cure for baldness, and nor should it ever claim to be, however, it can help with the maintenance of hair health in men and women.  If taken with a well balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, this supplement has the potential to reduce the shedding of hair and improve the function of hair strands.  These supplements will have no effect if the user has exceeded Norwood/Savin 2.

Unfortunately, these supplements are not suitable for vegetarians and vegans, because they use gelatin capsules.

The effectiveness of both the male and female supplements seems to be at a low level.  The formulas of these supplements seem to be lacking somewhat, and it is unclear why there are two versions of both the male and female supplements.

With Vitabiotics being a well-established, multi-million pound company, they can quite easily produce these types of products on a whim. However, this does not necessarily mean the products will be any good. We get the impression this range was designed to make money, and the 'advanced' versions are simply gimmicks.  However, we could be wrong, but the feedback suggests otherwise.

If you're looking to combat hair loss, then it is very unlikely that the Hairfollic range will do anything for you. You would be far better off investing your hard-earned money on a formula that is more potent, and which contains a broader range of proven ingredients.
