Wearing a wig is still quite taboo, even among celebs. But, it's far more common that you might think. In fact, many of the celebs you see on your telly and read about in the press wear wigs, to your unsuspecting eye.

Elton John (above) is perhaps the most famous wearer of a hair piece, of which he's almost made his own. But, here, we take a look through some of the more obscure male celebs who are rumoured to wear some sort of hair piece. Some of these may surprise you...

John Travolta

Ok, so JT isn't that obscure, but we thought we'd get the ball rolling with one of the more obvious wig-wearers. Travolta has been through all sorts of phases with his hair, and now, thankfully, she's accepted his fate and shaved it all off.

John Cryer 

Another John, and yet another hair piece. Cryer has admitted to using hair building fibres, and he's also given the wig a good go too.  But, like Travolta, it seems he's given up on trying to manage what's left of his hair, in favour of the razor. 

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck has suffered from a receding hairline since his 20s, and every so often, it appears he's wearing a hair piece of some sort. The problem is,as his hair gets thinner, the wigs get more obvious...

Axl Rose

It has been quite evident that the Guns N' Roses frontman has been losing his hair since the '90s, and it's pretty obvious that he's tried all sorts of weird wigs and hair pieces to cover the thinning.
