Norwood 2 Hairline Recession — 3 Month Results

Profile: Male, 45
Hair Loss Type: Early-stage androgenetic alopecia / Norwood 2
Primary Concern: Receding frontal hairline and reduced density
Review Period: 3 months

Background

This 45-year-old male was experiencing the early stages of male pattern hair loss, with recession becoming noticeable around the frontal hairline and temples.

His hair loss was consistent with Norwood 2, an early stage of the Norwood scale characterised by the hairline beginning to recede, particularly around the temporal regions.

He followed a combined routine incorporating daily nutritional support, topical minoxidil and weekly microneedling.

Hair Loss Routine

His routine consisted of:

  • HR23+® Hair Restoration Supplement — four capsules daily
  • Minoxidil 5% — applied daily
  • Microneedling — performed once weekly

Results

By month three, visible changes could be seen across the frontal hairline.

The previously thinner areas appeared better filled, while the existing hair along the frontal edge looked thicker and more substantial. This gave the overall hairline a stronger and more defined appearance.

There was also an improvement in apparent density immediately behind the frontal edge, helping reduce the contrast between the stronger central hair and the areas affected by early recession.

At just three months, these should still be considered early results, but the visible improvement in the frontal region is encouraging.

3-Month Assessment

✓ Improved hairline appearance
✓ Increased visible density
✓ Stronger-looking frontal edge
✓ Visible filling of previously thinner areas

Hair Loss Review Centre Verdict

These are promising early results from a combined approach using HR23+, daily 5% minoxidil and weekly microneedling.

The frontal hairline appears stronger and denser after three months, with improved coverage particularly noticeable around areas affected by early recession.

Because all three interventions were used concurrently, the improvement cannot reliably be attributed to any single part of the routine. Minoxidil has an established role in treating androgenetic alopecia, while microneedling is also commonly used alongside topical hair-loss treatments.

Three months remains relatively early in a hair growth programme, so longer-term follow-up at six and twelve months would provide a clearer indication of the overall response.

Overall result: Promising improvement in frontal hairline appearance and density after three months.
