Get Propecia for just £1 a Day at Asda

The price of the hair loss treatment has been reduced by over 50%

Asda has reduced the price of the baldness treatment, Propecia, to just £1 a day. That's £28 for 28 days supply. The drug claims to be 93% effective in treating male pattern baldness. ASDA's new price compares favourably to its competitors, Boots (£49), Lloyds (£45), and Superdrug (£37).

“Hair loss is an extremely sensitive matter, however our new service enables male shoppers to have a private consultation and purchase the tablets without taking time out to visit their GP,” a spokesperson for Asda said.

Propecia has always been a prescription drug, however, ASDA have confirmed that a prescription will not be necessary, and that it will be subject to eligibility and a consultation with an accredited pharmacist.

Although Propecia has been shown to be effective in many male patients, with some reporting reverse effects in balding, the drug can also come with some nasty, unwanted side-effects.  The most common known side-effects are:
  • Loss of libido/low sex drive
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Facial skin outbreaks
  • Mental health problems
Although side-effects do not necessarily happen to every user of the drug, statistics do show a growing number of men experiencing the harsh symptoms of using the drug.  It should also be noted that Propecia should not be taken if you are trying for a baby, and it should not be used with certain drugs and treatments.

What alternatives are there to Propecia?

An increasing amount of men are now using naturally formulated multi-vitamin hair supplements as an effective alternative to Propecia. Although not FDA approved, multi-vitamin hair supplements can offer a viable solution to baldness and thinning hair.

The major advantages of using multi-vitamin hair supplements are:
  • Safe to take with no risk of side-effects
  • No prescription needed
  • Some have a 90% user satisfactory rating
  • Contain a wide range of hair beneficiary ingredients
If you are considering using multi-vitamin hair supplements, then just be careful about a few things. Firstly, be sure to purchase from a reputable brand - check the ingredients and look out for customer reviews.  Also, contact them directly and ask them some questions about their product and how it could potentially help with your hair loss.

To help you get the ball rolling, be sure to check out these popular and reputable multi-vitamin hair supplements:  Viviscal;  TRX2;   HR23+;   Nutrafol (for US only).
